Shown Off in the Sunshine State: The World Debut of VRD’s Reimagined A69 Muscle Icon

The highly anticipated debut of Vision Retro Design’s reimagined muscle icon, the A69 Limited Edition, will take place in 2022 at Mecum Auction’s Kissimmee auction – the world’s largest collector car auction. The lead prototype and promotional vehicle, identified as PR1, will be on display on the fairgrounds from January 6th through the 16th for thousands to see. The convertible features a top-tier Camaro ZL1 foundation and carbon fiber body panels. Other equipment includes chrome split-spoke wheels, a custom Tuxedo Black interior with Garnet Red inserts and custom Sparkling Burgundy paint with exposed carbon fiber SS heritage rally stripes.

After being shown to the public for the first time, the vehicle will cross the auction block and kick off the 2022 retail run of the limited edition A69 Limited Edition. “The creation of this very special car has been years in the making,’ said Tad Tyler, VRD’s Master Fabricator. “The team couldn’t be more thrilled for the first public appearance to be at such a widely attended and significant automotive event.”

In addition to PR1, the winning auction bidder will receive a Collector’s VRD Owner’s Package, containing bespoke pieces like custom display license plates, a pair of engraved metal key fobs, and a polo shirt – all marked with the A69 Limited Edition logo. “PR1 is a very special vehicle and unlike anything else on the roads,’ said Tyler. “This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for collectors and enthusiasts to add to their garage something no one else has.”

While onsite, the Vision Retro Designs team will also have a major announcement regarding the second A69 Limited Edition vehicle.
